Forming connections between unfamiliar neighbors through an identity system used for shared cultural experiences without going far from the comforts of home.

A meeting over coffee between a refugee and a concerned citizen to understand their differences laid the foundation for Bridge.

What started as a platform using food and conversation to break down cultural barriers has become a growing social enterprise offering a variety of cultural experiences to build community. Founder, Mustafa Nuur, sought an identity that represented diversity throughout his brand – the experiences, the hosts, the guests, and forged connections.

Different bridge structures are prominent in different geographic regions, and where different cultures exist. We coupled the metaphorical context of the name with a literal perspective, redesigning the bridge mark found in the original logo to represent different cultures to create a set of secondary logos with the flexibility to expand as the organization continued to grow. The logotype became the core of the logo by creating ligatures, or bridges, between the characters. The identity surrounding these elements was implemented throughout materials effortlessly, promoting Bridge’s mission-driven values in a unified manner.
