PCO Certified Organic
Brand identity and site redesign grown from a legacy of industry-leading organic certification, strengthened to align with values, and positioned to meet future goals.
Background
From a state chapter of an international organization to a Pennsylvania-based agency, PCO’s growth and success is thanks to their focus on a high certification standard and serving the needs of the organic community. Since their start in 1997, PCO has expanded their reach across the contiguous United States and become a leading organic certification agency. With their sights set on continued growth and expanded services, PCO needed a website and identity that aligned with the future of their brand.
Solution
Considering PCO’s history of brand success and a growing number of loyal clients and members, we approached the identity as a nod to its past. The word mark was redesigned with custom letterforms and a refined leaf treatment for a fresh but familiar brand experience. The identity also introduced a new typographic system and color palette to capture the character of the brand. The balance between these components provided unified representation from print to digital. Additionally, we redesigned the website to implement the new identity with a focus on improved navigation, versatility, and the ability to evolve with the brand.
