LCHRA
Suitable identity and website built to promote a suitable living environment to help increase quality of life for individuals and families in need.
Background
For over 40 years, LCHRA has strengthened communities across Lancaster County by creating safe, accessible, thriving places to live.
LCHRA laid its foundation simply known as the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Lancaster in 1974. With the addition of organizations to broaden their mission over the years, they were in need of a new identity to remove confusion from the brand, paired with a new website designed to support the efforts of their mission.
Solution
Seven organizations make up Lancaster County Housing and Redevelopment Authorities. From our first meetings, the direction was clear to establish individual identities that could also visually associate with LCHRA as a whole. Starting with the most visible entity, we designed a logo for the overarching brand that brought visual simplicity and versatility to a complex organizational structure. The result could retain familiarity throughout sub-branded identities by modifying the roof to depict another abstracted symbol. Elements from the logo were applied throughout the identity system for use on stationery, signage, and other branded materials. The website implemented the identity, providing an efficient navigation and effective layout anywhere it’s visited.
